WATER SAFETY FIRST HQ

Water Safety First Headquarters, is located in our private backyard in Cloverdale, BC. We offer 30 and 35 minute lessons; suitable for ages 4 months and up (including adults)! Instruction takes place outdoors (year round!) in our covered, heated swim spa.

*Rates are $57/30 minute session for one person, and $68/30 minute session for two people and $66/35 minute session for one person and $77/35 minute session for two people, plus tax. A juice box and packaged snack is also included for each paid swimmer.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to wait on-site. We provide a private outdoor viewing area, which is covered and heated during the cooler days. We have comfortable chairs, blankets, and relaxing music outside, while you wait. For those of you who have other children waiting, feel free to keep them occupied with the toys, and books provided on the patio. Please don’t use toys that are inside the house.

Due to insurance purposes, we are unable to allow people to use any other area of our property, including trampoline, zip line, or treehouse.

Our location is a short walk away from Don Christian Park which has a playground. You may choose to enjoy a walk through the (dog-friendly) shaded forest path. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk the entire park path and back to Water Safety First HQ. Please no dogs on property.

*As a reminder, our swimming pool is a swim spa. It is 16 feet long and just over 5 feet deep at the deepest end. There are a series of jets that can be turned on to allow for continual swimming against the current. There is also the option to swim using a tether as an alternative to using jets, for those who require longer distances. Water temperature varies but is kept within 89-95 degrees F. Our hot tub is operational between October and March and is a toasty 104 degrees F.

  • Please come clean to the pool. Remove any creams, leave in conditioners, and makeup. If needed you may shower prior to entry.

    Please remember to bring the following items:

    • Bathing Suit

    • Towel

    • Water bottle

    • Sunglasses (optional)

    • Long sleeve rash guard (optional)

    • Hat (optional)

    • Goggles (optional)

    • Swim cap (mandatory)

    • *Please Note- sunscreen, creams, makeup, etc. is NOT allowed in the pool.

  • 48 hour notice is required to cancel OR move session, for a partial refund. If less than 48 hours notice is provided, no refund provided. A $10 for admin fee is charged for any cancellation regardless if more than 48 hours notice. You are welcome to send a friend in place of your session if unable to attend. Please send e-mail request to make a change in your booking, including moving to an alternate date, if less than 48 hours. Please send an e-mail to request a refund or move session to a future date if more than 48 hours notice is given, as refunds are not automatically processed.
